Andy Vine

Hi there!

Welcome to my website!

I’m a folk singer, now in my mid 60′s, and still having too much fun singing and playing music.  The song I am best known for is Woman Of Labrador which was recorded by the Newfoundland group Figgy Duff and published in The Great Canadian Songbook, a collection of 50 best-loved Canadian songs.

I am also a keen sailor and always loved John Masefield’s famous poem Sea Fever. So I turned it into a song. You can take a listen here. If you enjoy sailing adventures, you can also view a video of my cruise around Vancouver Island on my sailboat “Gwyneth”.

I perform at folk clubs and community events, often accompanied by my wife Danielle Arcand on vocals and percussion. I also play with a great band called “Island Time” with some of Vancouver’s best acoustic musicians.
